KINGDOM ROADMAP DEVOTIONAL SERIES

Every Man and Woman needs, and is looking for the Kingdom

Scripture:

Matthew 13:44 - "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field" (NKJV)

Devotional:

Every road trip has a destination. You don' pack your bags, fill your tank, and start the engine just to drive in circles,  you're aiming for somewhere worth reaching. In the same way, every human heart is on a journey toward something.

Some search for fulfillment in success, others in relationships, comfort, or pleasure. But the truth is, every man's deepest need is the Kingdom of God, because only there do we find perfect love, peace, and purpose.

Jesus said the Kingdom is worth selling everything to obtain it (Matthew 13:44-46). That means it's not just a scenic stop along life's highway, it's the final destination.

Like any road trip, the journey of life can be long and challenging. You may face "traffic" (delays and disappointments. There may be "detours" (temptations and distractions,  and sometimes your "vehicle" (your faith), will need refueling.

The great news is that the Kingdom Journey is well worth it for every believer of Jesus Christ.

When we (believers) accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are giving the free gift of salvation and Kingdom Citizenship.

However, if you are going to reap the authority and benefits of a Kingdom Citizen, it will require a commitment to Kingdom Culture and a Lifestyle Change. Therein lies our need to seek the kingdom every day, 365 days a year.

Over the next 14 days this Kingdom Roadmap Series will be packed with the wisdom and knowledge of God's word to help us acquire what we need mentally, physically and spiritually in order to move forward daily to complete our life journey of Kingdom living.

Kingdom Roadmap Directions

Today, let's focuses on three important areas that will help you to start and continue your Kingdom Journey successfully.

1. Check Your Navigation — Make sure that your heart is pointed toward the Kingdom first, to avoid having your journey to drift toward lesser destinations, trust in the Lord for direction. (Proverbs 3:5–6)

2. Refuel Daily — Fill up with God’s Word and prayer daily to avoid the possibility of running empty. (Psalm 119:105)

3. Travel in Community — If at all possible, don’t drive this road alone. Stay connected with fellow travelers in the faith. (Hebrews 10:24–25)

Prayer

Father, I thank You for choosing me as a Kingdom Citizen, and I thank you for our savior and king Jesus Christ. Keep my heart set on the road that leads to You. Remove the distractions and wrong turns that pull me off course. Teach me to seek You first, above all else, and to trust that You will supply every need along the way. Strengthen me when I grow weary, and remind me that in Your Kingdom, there is victory and liberty. Give me the desire and will to seek Your Kingdom daily and prepare me to share the Kingdom with others as I seek to do your will during my journey as a Kingdom Citizen.

 In Jesus’ name, Amen.

KINGDOM ROADMAP DEVOTIONAL SERIES

Positioning Yourself To Win Everyday

Scripture:

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (NKJV)

Devotional:

I encourage you to position yourself for winning everyday.  As a believer in Jesus Christ, there is more than salvation. Through salvation, God has sealed our future in Him, however, He wants us to experience Kingdom right here on earth.

Winning in life means different things to different people. As faith followers and believers in Jesus Christ, we are established as Kingdom Citizens. Therefore winning for us means to glorify God through our lifestyle, obedience and faith.

But the greatest tragedy is when Kingdom citizens forfeit their Kingdom power because they refuse to seek Jesus and His Kingdom after salvation. Yes, we have the gift of salvation, but God wants us to experience His kingdom here on earth. That is why He sent His son Jesus to earth the pay the price for our sins and to return to us the Kingdom that Adam lost.

Therefore the key to winning daily is to seek the Kingdom and God's righteousness daily.  If we do that, the Lord promises to take care of all of our needs. So how do we seek the Kingdom? It's important to understand that God said to "seek" the Kingdom and not to "Look for the Kingdom". There is a big difference. Seeking and looking are not the same thing.

I have to admit that many times when I tried to find something I would go looking for it and if it was not right in front of my face, I failed to find it.   Then I would go ask my wife and she would say that it’s in the same place where I just went looking for it. (If you are a wife and reading this, you probably know exactly what I am about to say).

When I tell her that I looked there and it’s not there, she would go right to the place where I am looked and  pull it out.  Of course I am standing there looking stupid, but if I had just gone there and searched a little harder I would have found it.

That is the same mentality that cost many of God's people to miss the benefits of the Kingdom and miss winning on a daily bases. We are just looking for the Kingdom and not seeking the Kingdom.

You see when I went to that closest looking for that item and it wasn't right in my face, I was defeated because I did not find it.  But if I had gone to that closest seeking that item, I would have had more determination to find what I was looking for, I would have move stuff out of my way until I found it.

As Kingdom Citizens, the Word of God is your Kingdom manual. It reveals your rights, benefits, instructions, and authority as a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. But you won’t uncover its treasures without seeking. This means digging into Scripture daily, pursuing righteousness, and aligning your life with Kingdom values. By doing so, your will make your way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8).

Each day, decide to seek the Kingdom first. That may require removing distractions, shifting priorities, and even letting go of relationships that pull you away from seeking God. But as Jesus promised in Matthew 6:33, when you seek the Kingdom and His righteousness, all that you need will be provided.

Seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness daily, don't just look for it occasionally.
